Chelsea's Back Tattoo

Chelsea

My name is Chelsea, as soon as I turned 18 I started my tattoos. I think tattoos can be beautiful art and an expression of the person owning them. My first was a bird on my right hip, and then a flower on my left hip. About 2 yrs later I extended my birds up my side, and only 5 months after that I began my search for a Mexican skull piece after reading about the history of them. I soon found a piece I liked which I took to Mark of Forever tattoo and he took it from there. As you can see, my tattoos represent my love for nature, and I plan to get much more.

I grew up around watching my family get tattoos my whole life so I was exposed to this culture at a very young age. To me there's something very sexy and powerful about women with tattoos. I see it as an art expression of being an individual. My tattoos are like a time line. I don't regret any of the tattoos as they represent that time in my life as well as what was going on in the world around me. I will add to my time line throughout my entire life. Can't wait to see what that looks like when I'm 80!

Rikki Hatfield's Tattoo

Rikki Hatfield

I started getting tattooed to try to express on the outside how I feel on the inside. I want to show the world that you can be tattooed and still carry yourself in a feminine way. All my tattoos were inspired by a loved one or family member since family is the most important thing to me. I want my tattoos to create a story or portray a memory. I hope to help break the mold and stereotype of "trashy, rocker chick with no class". Most people would be suprised to know I have a promising career, two college degrees and travel often alongside very important people. I definitely know how to behave myself in public but still have a good time. I hope in time to continue to fill my canvas with my thoughts, ideas and art.

I live tattoos. Whether doing a photoshoot for them or one of the 18 tattoo conventions we do a year, I always am up to something in this industry. I wear them proudly and love each and every single one that I have.

I have always loved tattoos. I love the idea of having art permanently on your body allowing you to outwardly express your inner creativity. I like to collect tattoos as my life happens and as I find inspiration for them. My main men are Steve Pedone and Timmy Tatts. I also have pieces from my good friend Darren Brass and from Philadelphia Eddies.

Alissa' Star Tattoo

Alissa

I have 24 stars in total, 12 on each of my hip bones. They stand for the day I was born. Also, I love the night life and celebrities are known as stars and I hope to become a model or actor some day.

Brittnee's Tattoo

Brittnee

My name is Brittnee. On my right side is a tiger which I got right after I had my daughter. The tiger represents strength.
I have a "B" for Brittnee of course.
On my left side I have a bushel of roses to represent my Grandma who passed and loved to grow roses in her garden.
On my left wrist is a dove and on my right is my daughter's name.
I got most of my tattoos at Latin Skulls by Juan and Fernie.

New York Tattoos

Jennifer Thorpe-Moscon

As a lifelong New Yorker, my tattoo represents the city and how it is a part of me, now and always. No matter where I go, people have always been able to peg me as a New Yorker, and I wanted that represented in my body art. I was born and raised a Yankees fan, and to me they represent the strength and perseverance of New York -- there isn't a team in the MLB that will catch their 27 victories, at least not in my lifetime, and no matter how many years pass between victories, you know another one isn't too far off.

Neck Tattoo Ideas

Tribal Tattoos

A tribal tattoo can be worn anywhere on the body, but the neck makes a great place to show one off. If you have long hair, the curving of the tattoo can be seen through the strands for an evocative look. The curves of a tribal tattoo also neatly wrap the width of the neck, allowing it to peek out on the sides. Complement it with a second tribal tattoo somewhere nearby for a complete look.

Star Tattoos

Star tattoos work well anywhere on the body, but particularly well on the neck. A necklace of star tattoos, or even one tattoo located at the base of the neck are the perfect adornment for a simple tattoo in this area. Try using stars of different sizes as you move around the neck. The stars themselves can be left open for a subtle look, or shaded for a more intense tattoo design. In any case, a star tattoo in the neck area will really pop.

Characters

Japanese characters, Celtic runes and other symbols are ideal for placing on the neck. Whether you create a short sentence of vertically stacked characters or simply place one, solitary character at the top of the spine, characters peeping over the collar or through the hair can lend an additional sense of mystery or intrigue to the tattoo. Leave viewers wondering what it is you're trying to say with characters on the neck.

Animal Prints

Since the back of the neck is so frequently covered by hair or clothing, it can be the perfect place to let a little bit of your animal nature peek through. Animal print tattoos such as cheetah spots don't have to be used over the entire body. Allowing them to cover only one, select area such as the neck can be very evocative and erotic.
